The Edion Protect Outdoor Cable Protector has been designed and developed in response to the challenges faced in charging an electric vehicle at home when off street parking is not available. The EDION Protect cable protector has a unique feature in that the EV cable can be attached to the cable protector, a design which is patent pending. This additional feature to the traditional cable protector ensures safety and security for the EV charging cable and the people around it. The EDION EV Cable Protector also has a low height of 23mm meaning wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams etc can cross the cable protector with ease, preventing your cable protector being an obstruction on the pavement.

EDION cable protectors aim to solve the problem of charging an EV across pavements by offering a safer solution for pedestrians by preventing trip hazards from trailing EV cables. Having the option to charge an electric vehicle at home is also not only more convenient to the EV owner, but also significantly cheaper.

The EDION EV Charging Hazard Warning Sign has been designed to comply with the Highway Code 2022 requirements for electric vehicle charging across highways. Attaching the warning sign to the EV cable is an innovative solution to ensure adequate signage around EV charging cables.

Edion EV Cable Cover prevents your EV charging cable from being a trip hazard & protects from accidental damage to your EV cable. FOR EV CABLES LESS THAN 15mm IN DIAMETER ONLY. The cable protector WILL NOT lie flat if your EV cable is wider than 15mm diameter. PLEASE CHECK!
  • PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR EV CABLE – your EV cable will be safe & secure when attached underneath the EV cable protector. The EV cable will be fully covered & protected from accidental damage. Quick & easy to attach using the included cable ties through the pre drilled holes. Fits EV charging cables up to a maximum diameter of 15mm. Take a ruler & put on top of the EV cable to measure the diameter. NOTE: TESLA WALL CHARGER CABLES ARE TOO WIDE FOR THIS CABLE PROTECTOR.
  • SUITABLE FOR A PAVEMENT CABLE PROTECTOR – easy to cut to size to cover the full width of the pavement to prevent trip hazards. Heavyweight tough material so lies flat to the ground. Measure the width of the pavement & cut the outdoor cable protector with sharp kitchen scissors. Please check diameter of your EV cable, if the EV cable is too thick for the cable protector this will not sit flat to the ground. Please remove your EV charging cable & protector from the pavement once you have finished charging your EV.
  • DESIGNED FOR WHEELCHAIRS TO CROSS – pedestrians, wheelchair users, prams & scooters can cross your EV cable & protector easily & safely. The 23mm height & gently sloping sides will not create another pavement obstruction to navigate & ensures accessibility for all. If using the cable cover across a pavement please check your local council specifications. This cable protector is a very low height therefore is not an obstacle to pavement users.
